Students at Boardman Local School District’s Boardman Center Intermediate School recently showcased their creativity and academic skills through an engaging cross-curricular project that blended math, design, and storytelling.
Sixth grade students at Boardman Local School District’s Boardman Center Intermediate School recently combined creativity and learning in a cross-curricular project connecting math and English Language Arts.
In Mrs. Daggett’s math class, students designed and built geometric castles using concepts such as shapes, angles, area, and symmetry. Then, in Miss Blangero’s ELA class, they brought those castles to life by writing original fairy tales filled with adventure and imagination.
The project gave students a fun and creative way to connect problem-solving with storytelling while showcasing their hard work and collaboration.
