Ms. Martin's 6th grade ELA students really loved this project!

For the past two weeks, she says they have been learning all about volcanoes! After completing their research projects, students put their learning into action by creating their very own volcano models. 🌋

Ms. Martin shared--They worked hard, got creative, and had so much fun bringing their learning to life! I am so proud of their hard work and creativity!

Thank you to our long term substitute Mr. Love, and his 4th-6th grade art students, for honoring the 25th Anniversary of the tragic events on September 11, 2001. A day most Americans will never forget.

Boardman Subaru surprised our teachers at Boardman Glenwood Junior High with a $15,000 donation and school supply kits! ❤️📚✏️

This marks the 10th year of an incredible partnership between Boardman Subaru and Glenwood Junior High. Through the years, Boardman alumnus and dealership owner Rob Fellman and his team have supported everything from our Natural Habitat Garden to science books, school supplies and now classroom resources for teachers!

Each year, employees at Select Specialty Hospitals participate in a school supply drive, earning raffle tickets as they donate items. At the end of the drive, the raffle winner gets to choose a teacher or school to receive the collected donations.

This year’s winner, Dawn Borosko, chose Mrs. Tamulonis and BCIS as her school of choice -- how incredibly thoughtful!

What a great performance from the Boardman Spartan Marching Band today, as they helped kick off Opening Day at the Canfield Fair.
Section leaders played the National Anthem at the Opening Ceremony, where Spartan Alum Bernie Kosar was among the dignitaries on the stage.
The Traditional Band Show at the Grandstand was filled with wonderful music from 14 bands across the Valley-- and in this "100th Anniversary Year" of the Boardman Marching Band- we could not be more Spartan proud!!

Wow — 22 Center Intermediate students have knocked it out of the park! 🎉

This year’s state assessments brought outstanding results, with 17 perfect math scores and 7 perfect ELA scores. Even more impressive, two students — Rowan Hartup and Anna Hassan — each earned perfect scores in BOTH math and ELA!

Superintendent Chris Neifer and members of the Board of Education made a special trip to the school to personally congratulate the students and present certificates recognizing their achievement.

Congratulations to all of these “Smartens” and to their teachers for challenging, supporting, and helping them master essential skills and standards throughout the year!

At BCIS, we are proud to celebrate our students who were recognized for demonstrating the Core Essential value of Perseverance during the month of May! Perseverance means pushing through challenges, working hard even when things get difficult, and never giving up. Our students showed determination, resilience, and a positive attitude in the classroom and beyond, and we could not be more proud of their efforts. Cross-curricular project part 2!

🏰✨ Our sixth graders brought creativity and learning together in an incredible cross-curricular project! In Mrs. Daggett's math class, students designed and built geometric castles using their knowledge of shapes, angles, area, and symmetry. Then in Miss Blangero's ELA class, they brought those castles to life by writing original fairy tales filled with adventure, imagination, and unforgettable characters.

From majestic castle towers to magical kingdoms, our students showed how math and storytelling can work hand in hand. We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and collaboration!

What a fantastic night at the BCIS 5th and 6th Grade Chorus Concert! 🎶 Our students truly shined on stage and impressed everyone with their performance! We are incredibly thankful for our music teachers, staff, and families who continue to encourage and support our students each step of the way. Opportunities like this help create memories our students will carry with them for years to come. Great job, Spartans — you made BCIS proud! 💙🎤
